Project EVA

A major modernisation project is being undertaken at the Stourport site. It will allow us to remain competitive in the demanding global markets in which we operate and enable us to address new ones. We have code-named the programme 'Project EVA'. This area of our website has been set up with the specific intention to keep our customers and other interested parties informed of the details of the project and updated with our progress.

Project EVA will enable us to refurbish buildings, implement effective production layouts, and concentrate more resource into R&D and manufacturing.

The fundamentals of the project are that some land is to be sold for development and the funds reinvested in the modernisation of our facilities. It is an exciting project for us as it deals with some legacy issues such as old under-utilised buildings whilst at the same time facilitating modernisation of our factory. The planning permission needed for us to go ahead with the project has been granted.

To oversee the project we have established a Steering Committee, comprising senior management and engineering staff, who bring with them the specific skills and abilities we require to make this a success. In addition we have set up a variety of teams to deliver specific aspects of the programme.

The works start in Q4 2007 and will be completed by the end of 2008.

We are working with our customers and suppliers to make sure that any potential disruption to their production programmes is minimised.

Overall, this is an exciting programme of change for the whole team here at Stourport. We look forward to completing the programme and being able to offer an enhanced service to our customers and an improved working environment for our employees.
